The British & High Risk Cultures

If the British at times question the low risk cultures' approach to business, then what do they think of cultures that are more prone to take risks than themselves?

Business Decisions

People at at fact meetingWell, because the British cultural conditioning tells them that making decisions about which risks to take and which to avoid should never be taken lightly, the British think that cultures who are more prone to act on 'hunches' or gut feelings should not be readily trusted.

Because the British are very thorough (a calculated low risk) when making their decisions they in-avertedly make the other high risk cultures seem high risk in comparison.

When working with people from higher risk cultures, the British who prefer to avoid confrontations but at the same time is not willing to lose face, occasional feel bullied into taking risks they would normally have avoided.

This makes the British feel less secure, which in turn affects their communication, work, and management style in an often negative way. Because of this, higher risk cultures should when they work with the British always ensure they wait for and include the British calculated risk inputs before making decisions.
