Remember that all the lists are generic and are based on examples. As you get nearer to your own leaving date there will be many more things you need to add to the lists. 2. Check if the company offers any discounts

4. Double check any moving/shipping insurance they might offer. If they don’t, get your own insurance

5. Make a list of all your things so you can ensure that you have not left anything behind

Finalise arrangements with your shipping company. Confirm arrival times and make sure your movers have directions to your new home |

Book extra storage space if required.

Arrange a time to collect the keys for your new home

Notify the bank of any changes to outgoing payments.

Check your home insurance - make sure you have cover from the day you move in to your new home.
