The Action Plan

Take a moment to think about how much you take for granted in the country you come from. You know where to buy your everyday foods, how to your pay bills, where to pay your taxes, etc. There is a really good chance that all of these everyday tasks are done differently in the UK.

Developing and working with your own Action Plan will help you focus on what is needed of you both before and after you arrive in the UK. Working with the Action Plan is also a great motivational tool and a good way of dividing tasks between family members.

Planning toolsA well made Action Plan can be used to:

  1. Ensure you do not forget important tasks and dates.
  2. Find out if you need advice from other people – Maybe from your expat network?
  3. See if different tasks can be dealt with at the same time
  4. As you complete more tasks, you can use the plan to see how efficient you have become at dealing with things in the UK. Remember to check things off when they are complete.
