Five Simple Questions

The following exercise will help you plan for some of the practical aspects of your new life. In addition it also works as a self-reflective exercise that can help you gain additional insights into the kinds of personal change living abroad can bring about.

If there is any truth in the old proverbs saying that ‘working under stress teaches one about oneself’, a cross-cultural relocation is bound to bring up a few new aspects of your personality.

Use the questionnaire today to see how you are feeling before you leave for the UK. Then in three to four months you should revisit your answers and see which of them are still relevant. You will probably find that some of you concerns turned out to be trivial, whist others lingered. You should therefore take the chance to uncover what these might be so that you can start addressing the situations before you leave.
