Don’t Be Frustrated

The UK and especially London have a well developed infrastructure and is generally known as a well-organised and service minded country.  However, this does not mean that all companies are well organised and efficient.

In fact it seems that people, regardless of where they are from, at times feel that life in the UK is unnecessary trying and frustrating simply because things do not work they way they are supposed to!  Funnily enough, it often turns out that it is different things people think of when they get frustrated.  The reason for this is that we all grow up with different expectations to how things work and how long they take.

Having said this, some organisations are known for being seriously slow when it comes to customer service and most people living here know that dealing with big bureaucratic organisations such as BT, British Gas, Themes Water, Broadband providers etc. can be very trying.

However, whilst some things take a long time in the UK other things are done much faster than in most other countries and ever so often you will be pleasantly surprised by how easy things can be.

It seems that the best thing you can do is to avoid getting too frustrated by not expecting too much and try to relax when things do not work they way you are used to.

If you in addition to this use your Action Plan to ensure that you remember all the things that needs to be done and maybe even start a few tasks before you get here you should be able to steer clear of most problems.
